Overview

Fronting Ngobit River with a 1km riveline and on an exclusive valley near Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Only an hour’s drive from Naro Moru town. The land enjoys superb views of Mount Kenya and the Aberdares Ranges on the horizon. Comprising a combination of dry savannah forest and relics of riverine forest trees. Paths have been cleared along the riverbank for walking and bird watching. A gravillea woodlot has been planted for the supply of wood as well as several hundred indigenous trees, especially species known to be food for the resident colobus monkeys, birds, bees and butterflies. The lodge was originally built in the early 1960s as a fishing club and maintains its original character. With a layout comprising 6 characterful guest cottages, the old clubhouse and a big 3-bedroom self-contained cottage. The cottages each have twin beds and ensuite bathrooms with solar-heated showers. Centrally placed, the clubhouse is easily accessed from the cottages and comprises a mess area with a kitchen, a dining room and a lounge with fireplace. The self-contained 3-bedroom cottage features an open-plan sitting/dining room with a fireplace, a fitted kitchen, three spacious bedrooms sharing two bathrooms and a spacious verandah. Some of the available amenities include a generator, a solar water heating system, a pump bringing water from the river and staff accommodation.
